Premium Gera Vodka Proud Sponsor of the CBS Radio "610 All Stars Classic" July 12 2011

Whats Going On In H Town?

Come celebrate a true Texas treasure at this year's SportsRadio 610 All-Star Golf Classic on July 12th at Wildcat Golf Club with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. You'll swing to benefit Bum Phillips' Charities. You'll be able to meet him and have your picture with him. Also scheduled to play, NFL Hall of Famer Elvin BetheaDan PastoriniGiff NielsonAlonzo Highsmith and many others. Your round includes breakfast, a goodie bag and dinner from  Capitol Grill. There are 40 first-come, first-serve player spots.

How do you win? By getting average players to play good and good players to play great. That's how you win.

The only discipline that lasts is self-discipline.

Two kinds of ballplayers aren't worth a darn: One that never does what he's told, and one who does nothin' except what he's told.

Texans running back Arian Foster is a finalist for three 2011 ESPY Awards, which honor the best athletes and moments of the past year in sports. Online voting ends this Saturday, July 9, at 10:59 p.m. CT. LINK | Video: Foster Top 100

In the Breakthrough Athlete category, Foster – who went from an undrafted practice squad player in 2009 to the NFL leader in rushing yards (1,616), yards from scrimmage (2,220) and touchdowns (18) in 2010 – is up against baseball’s Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays, basketball’s Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers and women’s tennis player Li Na of China.
